If you need help right now

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988. National Domestic Violence Hotline — 1-800-799-7233. In immediate danger, call 911. CleanBreak is not a crisis service, but the PANIC line and these resources are always in the app, free, on every tier.

Frequently asked

How do I cancel my subscription?

Apple cannot cancel subscriptions through the app — you have to do it in the store. iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → CleanBreak → Cancel. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for.

How do I restore my Pro subscription on a new device?

Sign into the App Store with the Apple ID that originally purchased Pro, open CleanBreak, then use Settings → Restore Purchases. RevenueCat re-attaches your entitlement within a few seconds.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your streak, journal, check-ins, reasons, and Text-the-Void drafts live only on your device and are deleted on uninstall. Coach, Panic, and the Decoder send only the text you type — never your name, your ex's name, or your contacts — to a small proxy and then OpenAI, and it's never used to train models.

Is PANIC really free?

Yes — always, on every tier, with no exceptions. The crisis rails (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, National DV Hotline) are also never paywalled or hidden.

Is this therapy?

No. CleanBreak is a self-help and motivational companion, not a medical, therapy, or crisis service. If you're in crisis, call or text 988, call 911, or contact the National DV Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 — those resources are always visible in the app.

Does checking their social media reset my streak?

No. A social-media check gets logged in your history, honestly, but it never resets your streak. Texting, calling, or meeting up with your ex does reset it — that's the whole point of the app.

I had a slip. Did I lose my progress?

Your current streak resets, but your longest streak is always shown and never erased. Slips are data, never shame — there's no punitive copy anywhere in the app around a reset.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email support@802.software with a short description and your iOS version. Screenshots help. Reproducible bugs get priority.
