Getting started
- Find your bus. Home lists the buses you follow and suggests buses at stops near you. You can also search for a stop, a route or a place.
- Tap your stop. Open a bus and tap the stop where you'll get off.
- Ride. When the bus moves with you, the app follows it and alerts you before your stop, on the Lock Screen too.
Common questions
What's the difference between green and black times?
Green times with a small signal mark are live predictions from the agency, based on where the bus is now. Black times come from the published timetable; the bus may be early or late.
Why don't I see live times?
Live times appear only for agencies that share live bus positions, and only while a bus is reporting. Everything else shows the timetable.
The alert didn't come. Why?
- Check that location is set to "While Using the App" and notifications are on for BTV Transit in Settings.
- A Focus mode can hide alerts. Allow BTV Transit in that Focus, or allow time-sensitive notifications.
- Don't swipe the app away during a ride; locking the phone is fine.
- Without location, the app alerts you by the timetable, about two minutes before your stop is due.
Which agencies are included?
Every Vermont public bus operator that publishes a timetable through vermont-gtfs.org, plus Vermont Translines and Amtrak's Vermont trains. Fares, phone numbers and on-demand services are under "Agencies and fares" in the app.
How do I change the language?
Open Settings in the app and choose Language: English, नेपाली, Español, Français, العربية or Kiswahili. It doesn't change your phone's language.
A time, stop or detour is wrong.
Timetables come from the agencies and update every night. Email us the route, stop and time and we'll check it. For service changes, the agency's own website is the final word.
How do I delete my data?
Remove your saved stops and routes in the app; that deletes your notification token from our server. Deleting the app removes everything on your phone. See the privacy policy for the full list.
